1. Job objective

Overall responsibility and accountability for supply on time in full for stores to required standards of quality, cost, planning, delivery and safety.

Overall responsibility and accountability for the Manufacturing included manpower & budgeting for production volume, quality assurance, supply planning and SHE function

Ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.

Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards

Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritised and facilitated, direct and drive implementation of Lean Business strategy and drive

Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing related areas of the business.

2. Main responsibility

a. Production

• Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
• Create and implement best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
• Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
• Assists Supply Unit Head with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
• Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
• Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
• Works with chief financial officer to develop operating budget.
• Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
• Supervises equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.

b. Production planning

• Responsible for overseeing the flow of materials and other resources through an organization
• Work with a variety of stakeholders to determine what products should be produced, how much for inventory.
• Develop a team of Supply planners to accurately forecast and ensure supply planning
• Balance inventory and supply planning while maintaining targeted customer service levels
• Lead special projects related to product launches, line extensions, and various supply chain initiatives

c. Quality Assurance

• Responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards in a production company
• Help develop, protect, and audit all processes that may impact certain qualities
• Analyze data in order to find areas for growth.
• Training, motivating, coaching, and correcting employees to ensure that standards are met.
• Formulate strategies to increase productivity.
• Review processes in order to ensure that they align with current trends.

d. Health safety and environment

• Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
• Review environmental strategies that impact on future ways of operating and ensure implementation where possible
• Review the use of technological systems that support a more environmentally friendly approach
• Review opportunities to be as environmentally friendly as possible
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

3. Job requirement

- Bachelors degree in a relevant field required; Masters degree preferred.

- At least ten years of experience in industrial management required.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and managerial skills.

- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing.

- Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.

- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.

Working hours: Mondays - Fridays (9:00 - 18:00), and during weekends if needed
