I. OBJECTIVE

The Design Manager is responsible for leading all design-related activities across Jollibee’s store network in Vietnam from site layout and architectural design to construction drawing management. This role ensures that store design is aligned with brand standards, functional efficiency, and aesthetic quality, while optimizing cost and time through strategic stakeholder coordination and consultant/vendor management.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Store Design Management
- Lead architectural and interior design for new stores and renovations (P1 → CD).
- Ensure designs are functional, brand-aligned, customer-centric, and comply with Vietnam regulations.
- Manage 3rd-party consultants and review SP, DD, CD drawings before submission to AMEAA and Construction team.
- Provide on-site support during construction phase.

2. Design Process Execution
- Oversee and validate entire store design lifecycle:
  • Site Layout Proposal (P1)
  • Site Inspection (SI)
  • Schematic Plan (SP)
  • Design Development (DD)
  • Construction Drawings (CD)

3. Brand & Design Standards
- Maintain and update brand design manuals and localized concept guidelines.
- Lead innovation in design concepts, materials, and visual merchandising enhancements.

4. Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with International Office, AMEAA, Operations, RE, Procurement, Marketing, and Construction.
- Represent the design team in meetings, updates, and cross-functional coordination.

5. Vendor & Consultant Management
- Select, train, and evaluate external design firms and freelance consultants.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with brand standards.

6. Post-Project Review & Improvement
- Conduct post-opening evaluations; gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Document best practices for future scalability.

7. Team Leadership & Training
- Lead and develop the internal design team.
- Coach team members toward future management roles; ensure knowledge transfer.
- Support expansion readiness through talent pipeline building and 3rd-party design training.

III. REQUIREMENTS

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:
- Minimum 8–10 years in store design, preferably in QSR, Retail, or F&B.
- At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end design projects and manage external teams.

Skills:
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Vietnam’s building codes and permit processes.
- Excellent design sense, project management, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese (verbal & written).
